Hi Everyone

As usual on News Years Day our walk will be non-challenging, short, flat and easy going, ideal for getting rid of some seasonal excess.

This year our trip is around Astley Park, Chorley for 3.5 miles, starting at the Hallgate Car Park, passing: Lost Fountain, Ice House, Mill Site, Sensory Garden, Park Road Gates, The Lake, Astley Hall and return.

The car park is in Astley Village off Chancery Lane, there is a Brown Marker sign for Hallgate Car Park and Astley Hall. Use post code PR7 1XA. Setting of at 10-30am, we are not stopping for a refreshment break, hopefully the cafe (at the finish) will be open for those who fancy a tea/coffee/chat.
